Tailor&Fox - your HR Business Partner for a multinational operating in the photovoltaic sector - has asked us to search for the following professional profile: PROJECT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER BESS Posizione: RESPONSABILITIES: Developing utility-scale battery storage projects until the Ready-to-Build milestone, including managing collaboration with external development entities.
Ensuring follow-up with project stakeholders such as grid operators, local authorities, landowners, and the wider public as part of the project development process.
Evaluating the economic and technical aspects of BESS projects, supporting origination into greenfield, co-development, and M&A opportunities.
Supporting internal areas and management to develop business and operating models and business cases together with local business development teams and central trading and finance functions.
Analyzing and reporting on the pipeline of BESS projects in Italy.
Supporting the Origination team in developing battery and other storage solutions that can be integrated with the existing renewables asset portfolio and new opportunities.
Performing site visits for the BESS project to analyze the technical feasibility of the pipeline being supported by the technical team.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding technological, regulatory, and business developments for storage solutions and continuously updating the solution portfolio to fit market needs.
Defining and following up on the scope of work of third-party consultants, validating their work.
Requisiti: Master's degree in energy/electrical engineering or environmental science.
Deep knowledge of the Italian electrical system and market and energy project permitting processes.
At least 2-5 years of working experience in battery business development at a utility scale, with relevant experience in procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, and energy management in retail business or relevant sectors.
High proactivity and drive, with an independent way of working.
Excellent project management skills, ability to adapt to changes, find solutions, and conclude complex projects in a timely manner.
Strong entrepreneurial skills with a result-oriented approach.
Ability to work cross-functionally and within multicultural, geographically distributed teams.
Fluent in Italian and English required.
