Responsibilities: Originate and develop new PV and BESS projects.
Screen, filter, and select project opportunities.
Lead deal structuring and commercial negotiations with developers and other key market players for the acquisition of pipelines or establishment of JVs and other possible partnerships.
Properly assess the commercial & contractual terms of each opportunity ensuring its economic viability, while evaluating & understanding both the business and financial models.
Ensure projects reach ready-to-build status by managing relationships with relevant stakeholders such as developers, authorities, landowners, grid operators, offtakers, advisors, etc.
Link and work with local authorities, utility companies, private entities, as well as financial institutions, funds, potential investors, and buyers to implement strategic partnerships for the country.
Coordinate tasks and inputs of the Engineering team and supporting functions such as Legal, Tax, and Finance teams – and eventually external advisors - during the development phase as well as during the acquisition and sale phase.
Perform and implement the Financial and Business Memorandums (IC Memo) and manage all required internal approval processes, providing Management Information and ensuring the right level of control during deployment of opportunities across various stages (origination, development, construction, and sale).
Stay timely and fully informed on any market development and industry news/events to quickly identify business opportunities.
Minimum Requirements: 3 years' experience in the development, construction, and sale of renewable projects (Solar PV) and BESS. Additional knowledge of conventional generation projects and infrastructure sector projects in Italy will be a plus.
Deep knowledge of the Italian PV sector, specific regulations, and high development experience in the country for large-scale projects, medium and small projects, as well as Solar PV facilities and BESS. Similar knowledge of the Greek market would be a plus.
Proven experience in negotiating and closing commercial transactions with landlords, developers, equity partners, and final consumers (due diligence, acquisition, JVs, SPA contract negotiation, EPC Contracts, PLAs/Licenses for Solar Projects).
Deep understanding of the permitting processes in Italy, including application and regulation. Similar knowledge of the permitting process in Greece would be a plus.
Proven experience in multinational environments and complex organizations.
Experience in project finance would be a plus.
