Senior Backend Software Engineer Your New Company Hays Solutions, a company of the multinational group Hays, listed on the London Stock Exchange, offers consultancy services aimed at identifying, understanding, and achieving the concrete objectives of a business project in the IT, Engineering, or Digital fields.
We are looking for an experienced and highly qualified Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team as a consultant.
In this role, you will play an important role in architecting, developing, and implementing complex backend solutions for our products.
You will leverage your deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable systems.
What You Will Do Design and develop robust and scalable backend systems.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, primarily in Scala and Kotlin.
Design and implement APIs and microservices.
Integrate with various data sources, including relational databases.
Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and other consultants.
Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection.
Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.

Competenze richieste: Required Technical Skills Extensive experience as a Senior Backend Developer with advanced proficiency in Scala and Kotlin.
Deep understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS.
Strong expertise in relational databases, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL.
In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices, including containerization and orchestration.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English and French (minimum B2 level).
Other Required Skills Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) and event sourcing architectures.
Knowledge of distributed caching systems.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Italian language skills (minimum B2 level).
Education, Experience, and Certifications (Nice to Have) Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications: Java certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) and other relevant certifications are a plus.
