Position SummaryThe Senior PM will manage all phases of project development from inception, completion of a commercialized product, launch through the lifecycle of the product. He/she will organize and lead a cross-functional core team on highly visible product development programs. The projects managed by the Sr. Project Manager represent critical strategic imperatives and are global in both scale and scope, and have direct visibility to senior management. The recommendations for the Sr. Project Manager and Core Team have significant long-term impact on the division affecting the financial, employee, and customer view of the company.
DutiesCreates, maintains, and executes project development plans according to STERIS procedures and standards.Leads team in development of solutions to meet business, Customer, and regulatory requirements.Coordinates technical discussions and reviews to expedite solutions and implementation.Collaborates with other engineering functions, Quality, Regulatory, and Marketing for coordination of project activities and deliverables.Manages external contract engineers assigned to project.Reviews and refines estimates for scheduled releases.Identifies resources needed to successfully complete activities.Reviews issues with project team to assess risk and prioritize.Assesses scope of open issues and assigns to project team members as appropriate.Identifies and tracks key performance metrics for reporting and data-driven decision-making.Oversees delivery of development solutions and transfer of design to production.Continuously looks for process improvement opportunities and works with project team to optimize implementation.Education DegreeBachelor's Degree in Engineering General or Engineering Management.
