Job Targets: The mission of the position is to plan and coordinate production work flow for one or multiple products and lines. Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay, taking into account optimum use of resources.
Dimensions/Organisation/magnitude: Planning 10 assembly lines and 6 semi product departments organised into 4 shifts per day, 140 references for 6 main customers.
Internal/external contracts: Supply chain manager, production manager, warehousing & distribution, quality and SQM.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY/MAIN TASKS:Planning: Performing all tasks directly involved in preparation for production, taking account of the order situation, production capacities, stock levels, production backlogs, delivery backlogs, procurement situations and personnel resources, in order to create the conditions for an optimum production sequence.Developing a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed to meet the predicted completion date.Detailed control of the production sequence, in order to reach an optimum use of the resources.Coordinating material movements between production units, to ensure an optimum production run.Actively contributing to cooperation with all sides involved and forwarding all relevant information, to keep themselves and others informed and create optimum logistics chain.Setup (for finished and semi-finished goods) and monitoring of KANBAN control cycles. Supporting production in setting up the KANBAN control cycles for raw-material and semi-finished products.Problem Solving: Troubleshooting problems that occur during production.Identifying any shortages, bottlenecks or other inventory related problems.Ensuring they do not re-occur.Proactively tackling blocks and barriers to progress.Liaising with production for clarification and coordination of balanced and de-conflicted demands and plans.Required knowledge: Products, systems and technologies (functionalities and applications).Supply Chain Management (including logistics policies, systems and processes).Quality management (including quality policies, systems and processes).Local language & culture (intercultural sensitivity).Problem solving and decision making tools and techniques.Project management skills, tools and techniques.Business knowledge (e.g. commercial conditions and influence on P&L).Knowledge of SAP ERP Modules: PP-SD-APO.Phase In & Out Process Management.Knowledge of delivery and reception procedure.
