Join us!Job Description:Prysmian is looking for a Production Manager.
The selected candidate will report to the Plant Director and will be responsible for managing a team of six shift leaders and approximately one hundred non desk workers in the Plant of Livorno (Italy), dedicated to the production of accessories for High-Voltage Cable systems.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:The Production Manager should lead the function while creating a work environment that prioritizes the safety of all employees.
This role is critical in ensuring that customer demand is met in time while keeping high quality standards according to internal specifications and managing efficiently the whole production flow.The key responsibilities of the role are:Drive the production activities by monitoring key performance indicators and defining appropriate corrective actions in case of deviations to restore standards in terms of quality, delivery schedule and overall output quantities.Be accountable for the prompt detection of process anomalies and contribute to define appropriate corrective actions according to quality parameters and assigned objectives.Monitor the adequacy of facilities, processes, and product standards and manage line inspections in accordance with product specifications.Ensure compliance with HSE regulations through the promotion of a safety culture and an approach based on shared vigilance.Coordinate training session (or training-on-the-job) for employees to increase awareness on company and local procedures.Promote constant relationships with other departments to ensure synergies for relevant activities and the activation of necessary technical expertise.Cooperate with planning and scheduling team to review timely the production plan and address possible risks on the monthly/quarterly plan.Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field.Excellent knowledge of Italian and English languages.Specific knowledge and experience in production, minimum 5 years.Results driven with ability to work within a complex manufacturing environment with demanding quality standards.Familiarity with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.Prysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
