Job Description The Production Manager will work with the local Olympic operations team and features production team based in Connecticut in preparation for NBC Olympics' coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympics in Milan, Italy. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Features Prod Management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serve as a primary liaison with all local filming partners and production entities for remote field operations. Identify, source, negotiate with local filming resources, vendors, locations, equipment rental companies, casting agency, industry partners. Organize all local logistical and operational aspects relating to local filming projects (permits, schedules, transportation, etc). Research and apply for all permits/permissions related to filming projects. Provide logistical management and interpretation support on site for location scouting/surveying and/or filming. Provide additional operational support on various projects as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in film, television and/or event operation. Requires excellent bilingual skills (Italian/English), must be able to read/write/speak fluently. Industry experience working with both domestic and international productions, camera crews, talent, producers. Must possess knowledge and experience of local film rules, local film applications, permit process/timeline and filming requirements throughout the country. Must have extraordinary organizational skills to manage and adhere to administrative/corporate processes and procedures as it relates to projects (reconcile budgets, prepare production memos). Ability to quickly adapt to internal systems essential. Strong proficiency and business experience with various computer applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc. Strong background working both independently and with new teams on location and in office settings. Must be local to Milan and able to travel to work locations daily (provide own accommodation). Flexibility to work weekends/long hours and willingness to travel domestically as required. Previous Olympic experience an asset. Desired Characteristics: Strong work ethic, flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn/take initiative essential. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines, simultaneously handling multiple projects. Passionate and enthusiastic.
