Barilla G. & R. Fratelli is looking for a Production Manager for the Muggia Plant (TS). The selected candidate will report directly to the Plant Director and will be responsible for managing a team of approximately one hundred people.
Position Objectives Within the defined policies, ensure the implementation of assigned production programs, optimizing the use of available resources and pursuing continuous improvement goals in production efficiency, adhering to defined quality standards and complying with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities Ensure smooth and efficient operation of production activities by monitoring key performance indicators and defining appropriate corrective actions in case of deviations to restore standards. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the plant by monitoring process performance, identifying and promptly addressing any anomalies with the maintenance units. Propose process improvement actions in the production and technology areas to increase department productivity and reduce costs while meeting production standards and technological requirements. Ensure timely identification of process anomalies and contribute to defining appropriate corrective actions according to company quality parameters and assigned objectives. Propose and implement interventions and verification tools to improve the quality of the production process. Monitor the adequacy of facilities, processes, and product standards and manage line inspections in accordance with company guidelines. Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations for the relevant facilities. Continuously raise awareness among employees and provide training on company procedures. Maintain coordinated and consistent relationships with other departments to ensure appropriate synergies for relevant activities and the activation of necessary technical expertise. Collaborate in managing relationships with union representatives and facilitate communication between the company and employees, ensuring proper understanding of company decisions. Contribute to the management and development of assigned resources, ensuring their motivation, empowerment, and necessary levels of know-how in accordance with company policies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or similar field. Excellent knowledge of Italian and English languages. Specific knowledge and experience in production. Minimum 5 years of work experience. Additional Information Workplace location: Muggia Plant (TS).
