Position Summary This position is responsible to ensure that an uninterrupted flow of irrigation kits and other finished goods is available to meet customer demand/forecast as agreed upon with Global Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service.
Understanding of best practices in scheduling, MRP systems, and data/metric analysis is essential for this role to be successful.
Responsible for assisting in a variety of production tasks.
The position plays a critical role in the planning, execution, and closing of projects with Lean/6 Sigma mentality and tools.
Duties Coordination of clean room and packaging department with hands-on approach.
Generate production planning in agreement with order acknowledges to meet customer expectations.
Work in conjunction with Warehouse Organization.
Maintain daily/weekly production schedules in line with customer and the company's requirements.
Responsible for timely communication of product availability with internal customers.
Participate in providing policies and procedures to support production planning functions.
Create all work orders for manufacturing.
Provide support to production as required.
Assist in expediting and prioritizing work orders.
Provide back-up support to solve internal production issues.
Track progress of work orders and change urgency status as required.
Support actively 6 S introduction and lean principles for production and logistic areas.
Continuous improvement: Evaluate existing processes, plan, and implement initiatives to improve processes by applying Lean methods, supporting inter-functional improvement teams.
Participate and lead projects or any ad hoc requirement.
Build KPIs relevant to production using all available data (i.e., clean room operators daily reports, daily outputs report, time reports).
Manage and support labeling activities.
Cooperate with Maintenance/Facility/HSE Manager to keep all machines, equipment, and tools of the site in state of the art condition.
Cooperate with Site Leader and Maintenance/Facility/HSE Manager to maintain the site in state of the art condition.
Cooperate with Maintenance/Facility/HSE Manager to implement and maintain top health and safety standards in Production.
Education Degree Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General.
Required Experience and Competencies Previous experience in leading/coordinating a small/medium sized group of resources.
Experience in a modern production department organized according to continuous improvement/Lean methodologies.
Experience in an ERP/MRP environment preferred.
Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) skills preferred.
Lean Manufacturing concepts and the ability to demonstrate everyday incremental improvements within job scope.
Demonstrated ability to follow up with tasks and issues along with problem-solving skills are essential.
Ability to drive and sustain improvements to Supply Chain processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as leader or member.
Excellent knowledge of English.
