As a Production Engineer at Permobil, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and developing the production processes to drive continuous improvements in efficiency, safety, quality, and productivity.
Your primary responsibility will be to challenge the organization to maintain constant motion and to relentlessly reduce waste from operational processes.
By leveraging your expertise, you'll contribute to streamlining workflows and enhancing overall performance, ensuring that our production operations remain at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities Develop tactical and strategical plans that enhance production, reduce costs, and optimize labour requirementsDiagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training to solve themIdentify and recommend improvement opportunities and work on implementing projects, ensuring adherence to time-frame, quality and cost requirementsChallenge existing in-house flows for material and production, propose improvement activities where these can be foundAddress Quality, Health & Safety issues when detected and take care of the related reporting, as well as proactively promote and develop production safety cultureEvaluate new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction, supporting the team in testing activities, approval criteria and eternal provider choicesWork with the Permobil Lean System (PLS) and develop the production unit inline with PLS principlesCooperate with other functions to improve the quality of the manufactured productsTake part in new product industrialization, collaborating with R&D and Quality departmentDefine DFM principles (Design For Manufacturing) together with the R&D team and make sure they're translated and consistently applied in productionEnsure that the equipment used in the assembly line is properly maintained and calibratedOn request actively participate and secure relevant information for regulatory documentation & requirements incl, CAPA'sQualifications and Skills Master Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering5+ years work experience in production and/or supply chain management.
