Electrical Qualification Engineer JOB TITLE: R&D HV NWC Testing Engineer Business Area: HV-EHV NWC Reason for hire: To maximize success rate for qualifications due to a strong growth in projects demand and capacity expansion of the group. Role overview: To carry out product qualification at different stages including product design definition, consolidate technical documentation (drawings and assembly instructions), customers request assessment, component performance validation, tests qualification protocol, components availability, coordination with testing labs.
What are the key challenges for this role: Coordinating with all functions R&D, Operations, Systems Engineering, testing Laboratories and Quality. Project management to complete all the required qualifications programs according to the time plan defined. Ensure the compatibility between accessories and power cables using a system approach. How is success defined in this role? (KPI's/SLA's/Targets) Contribute to the success rate of all required qualifications initiatives. Ensure readiness and quality of accessories for systems subjected to qualification. Reduce non-conformities and claims on accessories as components for the qualification process. Cross-functional exposure to learn all HV systems thinking aspects. Global experience across Prysmian HV factories and laboratories. Who are we looking for? Essential Skills and Experience (Must haves) Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Physics, Energy) degree. Years of experience in a similar role: 3 to 5. CAD tools and FEM Analysis. Standardization. Materials (metallurgy, compounds, thermal ratings). Technology (Product and process). Tests (magnetism, electrical, mechanical). Product development and innovation.
