About the Role Our goal is to make architectural design and direct manufacturing of houses accessible to everyone through an architectural design software that offers exceptional graphic visualization and usability.
We are currently developing the first BIM software that is linked to the direct production of buildings.
Our PO Computational Designer will define the roadmap, organize milestones and user stories for the structural features of our ZURU Home application.
You will write on GitLab epics, User Stories and documentation related to structural elements.
You are going to work directly with CTO and CDO of Zuru Tech.
What You Will Do: Organize the product backlog, write user stories, participate in the scrum events and regular meetings to establish product priorities and the product roadmap.
Provide constructive feedback to the programming and design teams.
Serve as a Computational Designer with a focus on system learning and processing.
As part of this role, you will work closely with fellow Product Owners, engage in strategic prototyping prior to requirement implementation, and facilitate communication with the product design team to incorporate their requirements into a cohesive system-level framework.
Contribute significantly to software development, focused specifically on the Milan BIM Structures group.
Collaborate symbiotically with both UX and C++ teams, build prototypes using Grasshopper and delegate tasks for effective feature execution.
Participate in the design of hardware features.
This will involve creating prototypes, working closely with product designers across New Zealand and Los Angeles, and aiming to produce an optimal prefab product.
Take part in designing the core structural components of our products, including connections, materials, and structuring of walls, waffle slabs, among others.

Check the following requirements: Minimum 2+ years of experience with 3D design software (Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, ArchiCad, Rhino).
Demonstrable experience with Computational Design.
At least 3 years of experience working with prefabricated systems.
Ideal backgrounds might include: Product designer for mass-produced, prefabricated systems (for example, furniture, windows, or temporary construction for events) Architect or Engineer who has worked on Residential, Infrastructure, or Facades design.
Any experience in a Product Design discipline that includes some element of the manufacture of the product will be considered an advantage.

The role is Full-Time and Hybrid as ZURU Tech has an office first approach, relocation is preferred in Milan (Italy).
Preferred right to work in Italy as we would like to fill the role as soon as possible.

We have a Core Time from 10:00 to 12:00 am in which presence is required (wfh/office), and the rest of the day is up to you!
