Our client is one of the global leaders in Telecoms Service Assurance and Network Automation.
They are looking for a Product Marketing Director to be focused on their Automated Assurance product offering which has been recently launched this year.
This global HQ role is a senior position responsible for crafting and communicating positioning and messaging to the market, enabling marketing demand generation, enabling sales and influencing
product & marketing strategy via market intelligence analysis.
It reports to the SVP Global Networks Marketing and is a central role working closely with product management, sales, pre-sales, marketing communications and corporate marketing.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Strategy - develop product marketing and to go to market strategies in collaboration with product management, sales and marketing and other key areas of the business
- Messaging - develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product in the market, and develop all associated sales and marketing content / collateral / tools
- Develop and manage product literature and content library including collateral, web content, thought leadership, webinars, blog posts, etc
- Marketing enablement - plan & execute product launches and support creation of demand generation campaigns with targeting, positioning and content creation
- Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team, and channel partners, and develop the sales tools that support the selling process
- Market intelligence - provide market, ecosystem, competitive and customer analyses to support marketing, sales and product management planningEvangelist - Internal and external product evangelist, public spokesman to press/analysts, blogger/writer, speaker at tradeshows, seminars and webinars, and partner/channel enablement
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- 7+ years experience of telecom software market in product marketing (ideal), product management or technical sales/marketing roles.
Experienced in marketing, product marketing or product management disciplines
- 7+ years experience marketing to technology teams at Communications Service Providers (ie mobile network operators / wireline operators) and solid understanding of telecom network
technologies and market dynamics including RAN (5G and Open RAN), OSS, network virtualisation/cloudification and cloud ecosystem/technologies.
- Experience and deep understanding of telecom service assurance (and industry standards such as TM Forum) is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent English copywriting, presentation creation and infographic skills
- Excellent English communication/presentation skills targeted at customers, press/analysts
- Must be able to understand complex product features and map them to customer business needs through creation of compelling benefit and value proposition statements
- Ability to influence, persuade and work within matrixed/cross-functional teams
- Excellent execution: self-sufficient in taking objectives, prioritizing, and project managing execution to completion.
Must be reliable and deliverables focused
The role can be based anywhere in Europe (remotely, working from home).
