We create and deliver our technology as microchips, that form a mostly invisible part of the world we live in today.We trust in the synergy of our talents to think, create and develop solutions for the world in which they would like to live, that's now the time for you to join us!THE ACTIVITIESThe candidate will be part of the ASP division product engineering team based in Agrate Brianza (MB) focused on the development of high-volume mixed signal devices with the aim to bring new devices from their early conceptual stage to the mass production phase.The main tasks of this position are:Review and define together with the design team the best DFT (Design for Testability) strategy and the best DFM (Design for Manufacturability) strategy for the new devices to achieve both the expected test coverage target and the expected test time targetDesign, develop, debug, and validate the ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) HW interfaces and the ATE test programs for the new devices, implementing the defined test coverage levelDebug, validate and characterize the new products with the ATE, analyzing and reporting the ATE test results to the ST teams and the ST customers to assess the maturity level of the new device vs. the defined targetsATE Test program optimizationTransfer of the ATE test solution to the mass production test sites and training of the engineering teams based in the production plants.Manufacturing cost reduction: address the proper continuous improvement actions based on the production ATE data analysis results (example: test program improvements, test process improvements, assembly process improvements, etc.) to maximize the ST revenuesThe product engineer works in close collaboration with several ST teams (design team, reliability team, quality team, failure analysis teams, test engineers of the mass production test plants, process engineers of the diffusion plants, process engineers of the assembly plants, program management teams, etc.) and ST customers.
