Alfa Laval Marine Division is looking for a Product Engineer. The work location is in Monza, Italy.
About the job We offer an interesting job opportunity within the Marine Division for you who enjoy working with key customers in a global market. You will be based in Monza and report to FSS Technical Product Manager.
As a Product Engineer, you will design and oversee the products, their manufacturing processes, and all related documentation related to the Fuel Supply System.
You will work mainly on Fuel Supply System technologies in project form in very close cooperation with our Process, Mechanical, and Test engineers. In addition, you will interact with the supply chains (Monza and Shanghai), as well as key customers.
Key tasks: Cooperate with industrial partners (e.g. engine makers) to develop the products in compliance with their requirements.Selection and validation of new components to be installed on the products (e.g. valves, pumps, etc.)Develop the documentation related to the productsDevelop and maintain the functional specification used as input for the software developmentSupport the training for sales, execution, and service.Lead the technical support to the service team during prototype commissioning, when required.Lead the technical support to order execution departments, when required.Who you are You are passionate about engineering and willing to take the extra mile to ensure that products included in the portfolio are the most suitable for the market. You have the ability to collaborate with other departments and create results by engaging and leading others as well network in a matrix organization. You are business-oriented, have a structured mindset, and good communication skills on all levels.
What you know As the ideal candidate, you have excellent decision-making skills and can implement the decisions in the group. You are skilled in mechanical engineering, but you're also capable of interacting with automation and process disciplines.
You have an insight into the alternative fuels marine market, an innovative approach, and the ability to easily adopt efficient ways of working.
You hold an M. Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering or other corresponding education or experience and have good communication skills in both Italian and English.
