As our Product Developer Knitwear you will join the Product team at Woolrich in our global HQ in Bologna. You will focus on the knitwear category and manage tech design packages and creation ensuring alignment with the brand seasonal direction, the global business needs, regional sourcing capabilities, and quality standards.
What you will do: Work in close partnership with Designer and Merchandiser on the knitwear category and drive the review of new styles, providing guidance to deliver cost targets aligned with style details and related constructionBe accountable to meet style FOB targets, ensuring Woolrich quality and fit standards are executed while adopting structured methods and processes to improve workflowFollow up with Material Sourcing and manufacturers regarding the development of new materials used to create innovative and technically superior products each seasonBuild efficient interaction with the Fit and Tech specialist to improve the level of execution and alignment across product categoriesBOMs creation and follow-up for the Knitwear category and Knitted Soft Accessories on PLMTech design packages management and creation according to direction coming from the head of design and designers' proposalsTranslate designs into full specification packages with accurate technical details, bill of materials, construction detailsProactively offer suggestions for improved construction, aesthetics, and manufacturing enhancementsSupport the Development Manager to plan and track the development schedule of all assigned products to ensure timely completionDevelop a strong relationship with Regional Sourcing teams and work together with vendors to ensure all products meet required standardsEnsure all key global deadlines are upheldInteract with Development Manager, Development colleagues, and all necessary cross-functional teams to guarantee the integrity of the productBe an engaged and committed teammate, Be a facilitator in negotiationsFollow the SMU calendar, communication, meeting planning and facilitating, reporting, follow-up, and process-end to endWhat you will bring to the team: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience1 or 2 years' experience in Product Development and/or Technical Services in a medium or large-sized apparel company (RTW Knitwear or soft accessories)Must have a track record in assisting in the product development of the designated category, implementing efficient procedures to meet calendar and development goalsSolid knowledge in garment construction and live model fittingFluency in English and ItalianExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsStrong communication skills and teamworkAbility to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentAbility to drive results under strict deadlinesStrong proven knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is mandatoryProficiency in Microsoft Package and PLM systemsAttention to detail and precisionWillingness to travelIf this sounds like you and you would like to join a collaborative and challenging environment where working means loving what you do, going the extra mile, and learning from others, then please apply with a CV in English: we're looking forward to reviewing your application!
