D-Orbit is looking for a Product Assurance Engineer to join our Product Assurance team. As Product Assurance Engineer you will work to guarantee the quality of technology developments and related products as per assigned tasks. You report to the Product Assurance Coordinator. The PA Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of product assurance and the related safety engineering of the assigned tasks coming from a wide set of products and technology developments. You carry out technological research (R&D) in the fields of PA&S management, techniques, methodologies and tools. You collaborate in standardisation and training activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and implement general and project-specific programmatic and technical documentation as well as requirements starting from the applicable product and quality assurance baseline. Perform tailoring and statement of compliance on externally provided project requirements. Ensure compliance of products with respect to internal and external standards and requirements. Work in synergy with project team providing PA&S support. Monitor and report about subcontractor and supplier quality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements, in collaboration with Supplier Quality Engineer. Support the establishment and the implementation of standards and best practices in the product and quality assurance field. Support the implementation of the configuration management system on D-Orbit projects. Support non-conformances management in cooperation with the program PA Manager. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements:
At least 2 years of proven experience in space product assurance activities. Experience on PA&S topics within Space projects. Experience working with Space institutional customers. Experience working within a quality assurance environment. Experience in the assigned technical domain. Experience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation and of the space industry in general. Ability to manage assigned tasks to comply with deadlines. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Capability of working in autonomy as well as in team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a team setting to meet tight schedules. Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic, aerospace or mechanical/materials engineering. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with EN9100 standard. Experience working with requirements management tool. Knowledge of any topics within configuration management, quality auditing or certification. Experience with Space institutional customers. Language:
Full professional proficiency of English language is mandatory, any other language is a plus, Italian is an asset.
