Procurement Specialist Iii

**Essential functions**:
- Ensure the purchasing of goods, raw materials, technical items and services to enable daily manufacturing operations at site level, safeguarding quality and cost.
- Manage escalations to avoid any disruptions to manufacturing of critical life-saving drugs.
- Scout and qualify new vendors at local level and support internal functions in ensuring existing vendor compliance to quality standards
- Own technical and cost negotiations with vendors aimed at improving continuity and quality of service, total cost and saving strategies.
- Active lead on projects at site or business unit level
- Identify saving opportunities for assigned categories at site level
- Develop commodity strategies to support site KPIs (i.e.
Right First Time (RFT), On Time in Full (OTIF) e Quality Assurance standards)
- Support reaching budget targets (direct & indirect materials), saving targets and Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
- Prepare and update periodic reports and status updates on purchasing requests, order approvals and emission.
- Issue and manage purchase orders
**Skills**
- MSc in Management, Economics or other related fields
- At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing/procurement team in a manufacturing international environment
- Proficient with SAP and Ariba
- Excellent written and spoken English and Italian
- Excellent knowledge of Office Suite, especially Excel
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage escalations and to communicate effectively under pressure
- Project management experiences are considered a plus
