Position SummaryThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate procurement of raw materials and accessories necessary to meet production schedules. The role involves verifying component requirements linked to production orders, adjusting or confirming MRP (Material Requirement Planning) proposals for quantities that suppliers need to deliver on a bi-weekly or daily basis. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist sends schedules to suppliers and ensures timely deliveries, ordering the minimum necessary quantities to cover needs and potential safety stocks, in line with the assigned inventory targets.
Essential ResponsibilitiesYour day in the life at ITT as a Procurement Specialist:
Determine whether stock levels are aligned for production needs and order additional materials when required.Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers.Track the status of demands, contracts, and purchase orders.Respond to supplier and customer inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations.Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve issues such as shortages, missed deliveries, or delays.Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files and reports.Monitor internal inventory movements.Evaluate supplier performance, recommending contract modifications when necessary.Collaborate with transportation analysts and warehouse management for monitoring and optimization of logistics flows.Position RequirementsWhat will make you our perfect match?
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in multinational companies with high-volume production processes. Experience in the automotive sector is a plus.Fluent in English (both written and spoken).Advanced knowledge of SAP (Material Requirement Planning) and Excel as a user.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
