Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.We are more than 36, people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life.Everyone has an important role to play.With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the worlds most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:To strengthen the Contract & Procurement team, ARCADIS Italy is looking for a Procurement Specialist, reporting directly to the Head of Contract & Procurement.The figure will have the key responsibility of ensuring a high value-added and high-quality service, to meet internal needs and required quality standards, working closely with colleagues to facilitate the correct purchasing process.The resource will contribute to the implementation of direct purchasing strategies for the two Italian Business Units, with a potential exposure to international activities in agreement with the company management, and with the aim of mitigating risks, targeting budget time and delivery quality, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and arriving at the most appropriate purchasing solutions.Role accountabilities: Support the activities of the Procurement function in line with Arcadis Italia's corporate strategy and processes; Interact with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and define the best purchasing strategy in the short, medium and long term; Manage the purchase of goods and services in support of both internal and project requirements and negotiations with suppliers, targeting budget objectives, optimising possible savings, minimising risks; Supporting the strategic activities of the function through sustainable procurement, supplier selection and qualification, risk management, defining contract terms and clauses, managing contractual claims, collecting and analysing third party turnover data and savings; Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers in line with business strategies, monitoring their performance; Negotiate supplier prices and best contractual conditions; Support employees in the correct implementation of procurement policies, processes and tools; Monitor the performance of KPIs and process metrics, contributing to related data collection; Monitor the correct implementation of process flows, reporting any non-conformities to line managers.Qualifications & Experience: A degree/master's degree in Civil Engineering, Management Engineering or Economics.Other relevant educational backgrounds will be considered equivalent; Around 5-7 years of experience, ideally in Contractors and/or Real Estate.Experience in multinational companies will be considered a plus; An excellent level of written and spoken English (B2/C1); An excellent level of use of the Office package and PowerBI Flexibility and competence in research, data collection and analysis activities
