Our core team is headquartered in Lomazzo (Como), Italy, and we have expanded our presence in the U.S., Spain and Portugal.As we continue to develop innovative technologies to support the NewSpace economy, we are looking for world-class talent ready to tackle challenging projects to drive expansion and sustainability of the space ecosystem.Procurement OfficerThe Procurement Officer is a key element for managing procurement processes, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.In this role, reporting to the CFO, you will ensure timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
Your expertise will contribute to optimizing supply chain operations and supporting the company's mission of providing innovative space communication solutions.RESPONSIBILITIESManage the procurement process from internal request for purchase approval to purchase order emission and delivery coordination.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and manage supplier relationships.Manage Leaf's procurement from sophisticated equipment to basic needs.Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes.Source, identify and purchase technical and operational supplies required for operational activities at the right quality.Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and provide updates to management.Review annual supplier spend and manage supply agreement negotiations that exceed the budget.Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.Collaborate with administration and legal departments to ensure effectiveness of contracts, invoicing, and payments.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.Experience 4-7 years within the procurement department, preferably in industrial settings.Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships both in English and Italian.Excellent communication, organizational, negotiation skills and analytical skills.Experience with complex ERPs (we use Microsoft Business Central, but hands-on knowledge of SAP or other major ERPs is also welcome).Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Previous experience in a scale-up phase company is preferred – proven track record of software, tools, and processes implementation.Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.BENEFITS AND PERKSCompetitive salary package with performance-based incentives.Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.Flexible working hours and smart working policy to support a healthy work-life balance.Professional development opportunities, including access to industry conferences, workshops, and training programs.A collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages idea sharing, innovation, and personal growth.Opportunity for career advancement and growth within a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization at the forefront of the new space industry.Ticket restaurant and transportation allowance.EMPLOYER ELIGIBILITYReports to: Chief Financial Officer.Job Location: Leaf Space Headquarters in Lomazzo (Italy).
