Our Manufacturing Plant located in Pioltello (Milan – Italy) is the European leader in the production of cables dedicated to Automation and other segments like Wind Turbine, Healthcare, and Automotive markets.
Information about the department and the position The Process Engineering is the function responsible for the performances of the entire production processes in the Pioltello plant. The Process Engineers cooperate with Production, Logistics, QHSE, and R&D functions to improve plant performances and implement the most effective processes for the construction of our products, respecting client needs, the production costs budgeted, the quality of the products, and the respect of Safety & Environment rules and regulations.
The Process Engineer oversees all the industrialization processes, including new prototypes, design changes, or alternative materials, together with the R&D department. He or she is responsible for monitoring the industrialization KPIs and proposing actions and changes to impact site results. Additionally, he/she is responsible for supporting the definition of the industrial investments plan, monitoring the execution of their installation, and proactively driving improvements in production processes.
The scope is the entire productive plant of Pioltello, which is composed of 5 productive departments, 1 testing department, and 1 logistic department with more than 200 machines in total run by almost 200 operators on 3 shifts. He/she will report to the Process Engineering Manager, follow up on the execution of Engineering routines, and coordinate with department leaders and operators to define and execute the most relevant improvement and transformation projects.
Responsibilities and tasks Standardization and integration of production processes Process improvement action plan Industrial investments analysis and follow-up Innovation activities (prototypes production, design changes, alternative materials), in collaboration with R&D Project Management (special projects like Industry 4.0, digital transformation, etc.) We are looking for Master's Degree in Production/Industrial/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or similar Continuous Improvements and project management mindset Ability to apply both deep analytical approaches and "quick and dirty" solutions Capability of cooperating with different stakeholders (including external suppliers) with an interfunctional approach Excellent Italian and English language skills - both written and verbal Technical knowledge of generic tools and machine operations is a plus Why work with us?
