The Process Engineer II is a "hands on" position that plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing equipment and processes to produce high quality injection molded product. The Process Engineer is responsible for coordinating the molding efforts on new program launches, setting up and/or revising manufacturing processes and assisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements. This position also mentors and provides training to other injection molding personnel.
This position is part of the NPI and will be an on-site role located in Lodi, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Demonstrate the ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics.Provide ongoing technical support to plant operation to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and delivery performance for the Lodi Site.Participate or lead in process development team, PSP, Kaizen, to troubleshoot injection process related issues to determine root causes or failure and process variation in manufacturing process.Detailed design and development for injection molding process and equipment through risk assessment, DOE methods, mold flow analysis, tool design, and analytical testing.Execution of qualification/validation protocols working with various Lodi and Sunnyvale Site departments including identification and resolution of non-conformances/deviations.The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree.Proficiency in analyzing validation test data to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines for injection process control, validation activities, and documentation.Experience in basic setup and operation of plastic injection molding machines.Ability to prepare and verify validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ), deviation protocols, and qualification reports in accordance with quality system guidelines.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

The salary range for this role is $74,000 - $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
