Xylem is looking for a Process Engineer to join the team in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza), one of the largest plants in Europe. This role is vital in driving the manufacturing process towards greater productivity and sustainability.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will troubleshoot issues on the production floor, oversee the implementation of new technologies, and contribute to the development of product design with manufacturability in mind.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Design plans layout for such activities as machining, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and materials handling. Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions, applying mechanical and electrical principles to components and systems. Plan sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Inspect performance (mechanically and electrically) of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Maintenance support and ESH support. Provide support (mechanically and electrically) regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Skills and Qualifications:
2+ Years of experience in the same field. Knowledge CAD 2D (AutoCAD preferred), CAD 3D software (CREO Parametric preferred) is a strong plus. Knowledge Statistical Process Control techniques or 6Sigma certification is preferred. Knowledge of mechatronic systems or experience in robotics is a plus. English B2. Curiosity. Flexibility.
