About the Role You will be part of our Engineering Team located in the new Modena site, responsible for managing all aspects of engineering work to install new equipment, meeting stakeholder expectations for cost, schedule, project control, and reporting.
In this role, you will work closely with our team of local and Japanese engineers through strong collaboration with all stakeholders to achieve the required production volume and implement new products for SMC MCAM's customers.
In addition, you support process development, which determines stable process conditions, and implements new products/technologies developed by our RD Team in Japan.
Your Responsibilities Collaborate with other managers to define equipment specifications.
Manage installation/modification of equipment, collaborating with other managers and local engineering company and internal engineering team from Japan HQ.
Work with local engineering company to ensure project designs meet or exceed internal and/or external requirements.
Work with local engineering company to obtain best pricing terms.
Manage project budgets, cash flows, and cost reporting.
Monitor project progress regularly and prepare detailed reports to management.
Create and maintain project documentation.
Check the technical documentation from the local engineering company.
Your Qualifications and Skills Bachelor Degree, preferably in Chemical/Industrial Engineering.
Experience as a chemical engineer or industrial engineer, ideally more than 10 years.
Knowledge of general mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering.
Knowledge of Italian / European regulations, specifically ATEX, PED.
Italian native and fluent English (at least B2).
Nice to have: 3 or more years of project management experience in the chemical industry.
Proficiency in software related to construction/project management (specifically Microsoft Excel).
Knowledge of building and electrical codes.
