Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Analyst to join our Milan office. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent financial modeling skills, and a passion for private equity. This role involves supporting the investment team in evaluating potential investments, conducting due diligence, and assisting in portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities: Investment Analysis:Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling for potential investment opportunities.Perform market research and competitive analysis to support investment theses.Prepare detailed investment memoranda and presentations for the Investment Committee.Assist in comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and market due diligence.Coordinate with external advisors and consultants to gather and analyze relevant information.Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with investment targets.Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, including financial performance, strategic initiatives, and market developments.Support the development and execution of value creation plans for portfolio companies.Prepare regular performance reports and updates for senior management and investors.Deal Execution:Assist in the execution of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.Support the negotiation and structuring of deal terms and agreements.Collaborate with legal, tax, and financial advisors to ensure smooth transaction processes.Research and Strategy:Stay abreast of industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes in target markets.Contribute to the development of investment strategies and themes.Provide insights and recommendations based on research and analysis.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is a plus.1-3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or related fields.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Italian and/or other European languages is a plus.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.).
