Key responsibilities:
In this role your responsibilities would include the following:
Implementation and interpretation of scientific research experiments making use of Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry in support of vaccine development.
Contribute to planning and implementation of project specific research and publication plan.
Advise Lab Head on new technologies related to Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry and on research and publication strategy.
Ensure timely data collection, analysis & reporting (including preparation of internal/external scientific documents) in area of responsibility.
Provide support to IP for patent filing and to regulatory team for the preparation of the preclinical section of regulatory documents.
Ensure highest ethical standards, good scientific practices & data integrity are implemented in daily scientific activities.
Demonstrate knowledge of the key research activities and basic regulations.
Communicates issues proactively and effectively negotiates potential solutions at preclinical team at technical project team level.
Follow established Health, Safety and the Environment policies. Actively participate in training, hazard identification and other HS&E programs. Stop the operation if it is unsafe or is out of compliance and report it immediately to management.

Basic qualifications:
PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry or Physics. At least one first author peer reviewed publications.
Post-doctoral experience in Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry.
Understands function operating procedures and/or internal policies required to maintain quality standards and to protect GSK intellectual property.
Fluent in English, oral and writing.
Good communication skills, ability to present scientific data in front of a large audience.
Good project scientific/technical strategy skills.
