As a Senior Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist, your role is key to driving improvements on-site and at a regional level. You'll help your colleagues maintain high standards, all while driving a culture of safety and inclusivity on your site.
A Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
Key Job Responsibilities Manage your programmes, whilst regularly collaborating with other teams and stakeholders across the company. Use internal reporting tools to analyse data reports and root causes that provide leadership with the information they need to make safety related decisions. Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies. Drive programmes to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon. Above-average willingness to travel within the covered region. A Day in the Life This is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You'll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.
Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their wellbeing and productivity. You'll step in and take ownership of health and safety to foster a culture that revolves around operating safely.

Our team works with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites, making sure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
