Position Overview The CDC (Cloud and Datacenter) BU is seeking an experienced Physical Layout Engineer to work on the development of switching power supplies for data centers and communication markets, leading innovation from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities Working within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Catania (Italy), and collaborating with engineers in other locations. The successful candidate will work closely with the analog/mixed-signal design engineers to ensure proper layout design. Leading medium and high complexity ICs floor planning and top routing of all signals. Using recommended layout and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce optimal designs. Interacting with the packaging team to generate a clean bonding diagram that complies with assembly rules. Requirements Technical high school diploma or Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and 10+ years' experience as a physical layout engineer. Familiarity with semiconductor device physics. Understanding of matched structures like current mirrors, input pairs, etc. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work within and effectively collaborate with a cross-functional team. Scripting/programming skills. Languages required, both spoken and written: English (B2) and Italian.
