Position Overview The CDC (Cloud and Datacenter) BU is seeking an experienced Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to work on developing switching power supply ICs for datacenter and communication markets, leading innovation from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities Work within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Catania (Italy), Dublin, and other locations worldwide.
The successful candidate will work closely with other cross-functional teams to define, implement and introduce products to our customers.
Teams include business, applications, product definition, product engineering, layout, test engineering, project management, CAD/EDA, etc.
Lead medium and high-complexity ICs from architecture selection to implementation and debugging, managing analog and digital teams.
Mixed-mode IC top-level/block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
Use recommended design and verification techniques, tools flows to produce efficient designs which meet specifications.
Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems.
Support other development team functions, such as layout, application, and test, to ensure successful delivery and meeting all requirements.
Perform hands-on evaluation of ICs in the lab.
Requirements Master's degree in electronic engineering and 8+ years' experience as analog circuit designer.
Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed-signal design, tools and flows.
Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supply circuits.
Experience in leading complex and large Mixed-Signal ICs.
Good understanding of power supply control architectures.
Knowledge of BCD process technologies.
Understanding of digital IC design.
Understand physical phenomena such as latch-up, HCI degradation, and other reliability issues.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are required.
Ability to take ownership of top-level subsystems and integration in the mixed-signal environment.
Travel to support product definition should be expected.
Good level of understanding of the English language, both written and spoken.
