GC&C is the Generali Group unit that develops P&C business and insurance services for medium and large companies.
The unit acts on a global scale and deploys an integrated approach at Group level with a central management team and specialized teams active in individual countries.

**Role mission**:
To support Head of GC&C Technical Excellence in ensuring that GC&C meets its financial objectives by:
- Providing detailed actuarial pricing analysis and technical support to GC&C management, GC&C Central team and local underwriting units, making sure GC&C is developing the technical capabilities in steering its business.
- Actively driving forward the development of the actuarial methodology and implementation of the actuarial tools for various business topics: Pricing, Portfolio Management, Profitability Assessment, etc.
- Proactively building working relationships and managing relevant stakeholders at Group Head Office and local business units.
**Main responsibilities**:
**1.
Pricing and ML/AI**
- Drive development, implementation and maintenance of the GC&C pricing tools by in estimating the parameters of the pricing models as well as supporting the deployment of the tools to the business units.
- Support the Underwriting units in the pricing process, incl.
Case pricing as requested by UW heads and agreed with Head of Technical Excellence, conduct regular and ad hoc pricing tool trainings.
- Monitor the pricing tools KPIs, such as APTP, ERC, as well as various metrics of the pricing tools usage, address issues with the responsible UW and TechEx units, if applicable.

Profitability assessment and Portfolio management**
- Conduct analysis of the Ultimate loss ratios for the GC&C business segments, assess profitability of the business units.
- Jointly with UW conduct the portfolio analysis of the selected business segments, identify the loss drivers and assist UW in steering the portfolios.
- Monitor the development of the portfolio, regularly provide portfolio metrics reports to the UW units, contribute as requested to the Portfolio Management process.
**3.
Reporting**
- Regularly provide reports and findings from the Actuarial analysis to the management of GC&C.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by Head of Technical Excellence or by the top management of the company
**Requirements**:
- 5-7 years of practical experience in non-life commercial actuarial activity.
- Quantitative, analytical mindset, problem solving skills
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics or other quantitative disciplines, e.g.
Engineering, etc.
- Preferably Actuarial qualification or actuarial student
- Preferably knowledge of Machine learning and Artificial intelligence techniques
- Insurance business processes knowledge
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Must be fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage (Italian, French, Spanish, German)Ability to build lasting relationships
