Quantum is looking for a focussed Pre-sales System Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support and assist our dynamic Sales team to grow Quantum's business with key partners in the region. The successful candidate will manage and develop customer and partner relationships for long-term success and become familiar with Quantum policies and reporting practices. You'll use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations and assist the sales staff in assessing the potential application of company products to meet customer needs.
Job Summary: Primarily provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solution of our complete portfolio. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff, partners and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. Support the Channel team in developing and growing the Quantum business at partner level, this will cover training, update, demonstration. Create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. Create a technical proposal for the customer on the full project, interaction with cross business units like Professional Service, Product Marketing , Technical Advisors and WW Architects. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product workshop for client and partners. Full Quantum stack Solution coverage for all type of Business vertical and workflow application like backup, archive, post production, cloud storage. May provide consultation to perspective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. Criteria: As an expert in the field, uses professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters. Significant barriers to entry (e.g., top management review, approval) exist at this level. Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies. Strong skills with Archive and backup softwares. Strong skills in SAN and network environments. Strong skills in Storage precuts like Disk Arrays. Understand vertical markets such as Broadcast, CCTV, University, Oil & Gas, Life Science. Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization. Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 6 years experience; or equivalent experience. Able to travel locally and/or internationally as required by the business. Essential Skills:
