meats, vegetables, potatoes, bread products, desserts, etc.
The Prep Cook is to model The Sterling Touch professional, friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely manner, resulting in a very high level of satisfaction for Residents and their guests.
The Prep Cook position is under the general guidance of the Executive Chef in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophy.Qualifications and RequirementsThe Prep Cook must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:High School Diploma or GED, required.Culinary Arts or Culinary Apprenticeship, preferred.One or more years of experience cooking in a fast paced, cook to order kitchen, preferred.One or more years of experience with scratch cooking, preferred.Ability to read, write and understand the English language in order to direct, manage, hire and train kitchen staff, complete requisitions, read recipes and communicate with other employees as well as Residents and their guests.Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use all kitchen equipment and utensils (e.g.
knives, spoons spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
