Position Summary
Closely work with business units to support products marketing, Customer Experience and Events.
Continuously support and increase - according to HQ guidelines and local needs the visibility of Samsung brand through the definition and deployment of effective public relations strategies targeted to media, journalists and Public audience.
In details support the CE divisions (AV, HA, Air Con, Service)
Role and Responsibilities
Supporting the management of Samsung Electronics Italia PR activities, with specific focus on Brand and Product PR, supporting business units.
Overseeing the creation of an effective network with Journalists and major Media.
Monitoring PR activities carried out by main Competitors.
In particular:
- Support all communication to be released outside the Company produced by HQ, EHQ and internal BU: verify their consistency with the target audience to be addressed, propose possible amendments or reductions and ensure their release through the appropriate PR agencies.
- Propose and support the definition - according to Supervisor input and in line with Company vision and targets - local press release campaigns to effectively address the image of the Company and the visibility of the brand.
- Propose and organize activities and events involving the Press Community (e.g.
press conferences, trips to Korea, etc.
).
- Continuously monitor PR/communication activities carried out by main competitors and report to Samsung Electronics Italia Management their most important activities and projects.
Prepare on a weekly basis press reviews to be delivered to Top Management.
- Work closely with Line manager in developing effective relationship with Key Influencers within the Italian market.
- Develop effective personal relationships with Journalists and Media Representatives.
- Organize periodically meetings with Head of local Business Units to update them on ongoing activities and projects and agree with them initiatives and opportunities of meetings with the most important Media.
- Relate with PR agency.
- Support Line manager and Samsung Electronics Italia Top Management in the definition of communication strategies in case of adverse events which needs to be properly followed and managed (crisis management).
- Liaise with Line manager and all other brand marketing team members in order to ensure the full alignment of all activities carried out within the Department.
- Improve the journalist affiliation to our eshop, with the objective of involving them into a sales-related activity
- Increase the visibility through bloggers and digital activities
Skills and Qualifications
Degree in communications, business, marketing or related fields.
5 or 6 years' experience in Public Relations agency or Company involving public relations/corporate communications.
Well established contacts with media and journalists.
Fluent English
Strong Communication skills;
Clear understanding of Samsung Electronics Italia vision and Corporate guidelines on Marcom activities;
Customer Service attitude;
Strong orientation to results;
Strong Planning and Organizing skills
