Position Overview: The Italian PR Manager is accountable for the communications strategy for selected Disney+ titles and campaigns among GE and Studio content. They will also support Corporate Communications.
Areas of Responsibility PR & Comms for Disney+:Own the day-to-day press office for Disney+ (GE and Studios titles), including junkets, screeners, press screenings, press releases, newsletters, creative solus title ideas, and reporting as requested for Italy.Collaborate closely with regional counterparts and local marketing departments to ensure coherent execution of the communication strategy.Work with PR agencies, Programming, Digital Marketing, and Performance Marketing to ensure compliance with the Triple Lock Process and protection of confidential information.Collaborate with Marketing and Social teams to launch content marketing materials on Disney social accounts and with the press.Plan and implement local events together with DTC & Theatrical Marketing teams, such as screenings, gala premieres, and talent visits.Engage with local influencers to support solus or brand campaigns with dedicated activities.Support during cross-lobs local events (premieres, junkets, screenings) inviting local celebrities, influencers, and press, while handling guests on the ground to ensure social coverage.Corporate Comms:Support PR Director in corporate communications strategy in concert with company guidance.Accountable for corporate public announcements.Coordinate and approve executives' interviews.Supervise and approve speaking opportunities for LT members and executives during meetings/events.Monitor press reviews and social media channels.Provide crisis management support to the PR Director.Deliver locally B2B communications strategies for Italy through Disney+ and Advertising teams.Engage in proactive B2B media relations for various business areas including advertising, content sales, and affiliate partners.Support Content Sales teams in dealing with external clients' PR teams, specifically regarding communications implications such as press announcements and activities.Lead all aspects of content sales communications strategy, collaborating with marketing to support key sales calendar moments.Accountable for affiliate partnerships communications activities, announcements, and press releases as defined by the business.Assist high-profile executives in writing scripts and remarks for events.Occasionally involve internal communications including briefing notes for executives.Experience and Professional Qualifications Required:Bachelor's degree or higher in English, communications, marketing, or public relations.Minimum of 5 years of experience within press office, public relations, corporate communications, or brand management.Proven excellence in writing and editing in both Italian and English.Experience in supporting crisis management.Dedicated and innovative, with a preference for fast-paced environments.Understanding of business needs and project management.Proven ability to self-direct and drive projects from start to finish.Ability to operate across different markets and lines of business.Supportive, professional, and capable of handling confidential information.Act as an ambassador for the department with key internal collaborators.Skills Required:Proficient in English.Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).Excellent communication and writing skills.Strong presentation skills.Competencies Required:Ability to build positive relationships with key people or organizations.A creative mindset with the ability to find practical solutions.Passionate about the PR industry.Project management experience.
