In this position, you will manage the packaging development group, and you will be responsible for concepting, designing, releasing, and managing all the power modules products. This is a senior role with the opportunity to create real impact within the organization and build a promising career. Job Location: Vishay Semiconductor Italiana spa is focused on the design, development, and production of power diodes and power modules. There are around 300 employees currently working in Borgaro Torinese, Italy. This number is constantly growing due to our expansion plans. What you will be doing: Selecting and evaluating materials for the package elements, such as substrate, plastic materials, epoxy, die attach materials (soldering or sintering), bonding wires, leads. Designing the mechanical package of the product and the related technological process. Simulating the thermal, mechanical, and electromagnetic behavior of a power module using FEM software. Addressing requests from customers by producing the necessary product specifications, either deriving it from an existing product or concepting a new one, including direct interaction with the customer during the development. Knowing automotive requirements for electronic components and related qualification standards, such as AQG324. Measuring the mechanical performances of the developed power module either alone or in the application mechanical configuration, also designing adapters if needed. Willingness to travel to various sites worldwide and to customer sites if needed. What you will bring along: Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronic, Electrical Engineering, or similar. 10 years of work experience in a company of power electronics devices with knowledge of power semiconductor packaging, in terms of technological process, key characteristics, and failure mechanisms. Good attitude in dealing with issues and requests from Top Managers. Good coaching and mentoring skills. Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team in a worldwide company, taking advantage of the potential of the various R&D teams around the world and thinking in a continuous improvement way.
