You will be creating and executing designs for solutions as part of the Engineering team in MOTION, Traction division in Genoa.
You will be responsible for the design of power electronics circuits to support power conversion applications.In this role your skills and technical expertise will contribute to a variety of design projects.
This position reports to Project Lead Engineer Your responsibilities Lead the design activities from concept to production: the Design Engineer will work with other engineers to develop solutions to meet requirements and specifications, and act as a technical lead supporting the Engineering Project Manager.
Assist in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification.
Participate in design reviews and design verification, modify design as necessary.
Define, analyze and measure performance parameters (e.g., stability, response time, efficiency, THD) as they apply to power electronics.
Be familiar with inverters, dc-dc converters and other power conversion topologies (resonant circuits, ZVT and ZCT circuits, snubbers, etc.).
Understanding of parasitic's and EMI / EMC concepts as it applies to power electronics.
Knowledge of active and passive components used in the field of power electronics (rectifiers, MOSFETS, IGBTs, capacitors, etc.).
Define, analyze and measure performance parameters (e.g., stability, response time, efficiency, THD) as they apply to power electronics.
Understanding of basic control concepts and how it can be applied to power electronics (average modeling of power converters).
Your background Master Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
PhD in power electronics domain is a plus.
1-2 years of experience in design, prototyping and laboratory measurements.
Good knowledge of Italian and English language.
Initiative, creativity and great attention to detail, team spirit.
A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
