The candidate will focus on detecting and characterizing human-object interactions from first-person (egocentric) videos, contributing to fundamental research and publishing results in top Computer Vision conferences and journals.
Designation: Post-doc / Research Fellow Research Area: Egocentric Vision Location: University of Catania, Catania, Italy Minimum Requirements: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent (PhD preferred).
Strong background in Computer Vision or related fields.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Job Description: The selected candidate will conduct research within the framework of the PRIN PNRR TEAM project, focusing on analyzing algorithms for detecting objects relevant to track in egocentric videos.
Responsibilities include extending existing algorithms, formalizing new algorithms for interaction detection, and collaborating with partner institutions to achieve project objectives.
The position is for one year, renewable, and involves publishing research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
