Bozen/Bolzano full-time Institute of Mountain Emergency Medicine The postdoc will be employed at the Institute of Mountain Emergency Medicine and take a leading role in the project "Effects of moderate altitude exposure on healthy humans" (Principal Investigators: Christoph Siebenmann and Hannes Gatterer; project funded by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/ Bozen South Tyrol in the framework of the Programme Joint Projects "Progetti di cooperazione internazionale" CUP D53C24002770003).
(S)he will be responsible for organizing and carrying out a logistically challenging project, as well as for the analysis and publication of the resulting data.
The project will involve research partners from several other countries, and the postdoc will be expected to contribute significantly to the coordination of the collaborations.
The position starts in January 2025 and will last for two years.
Tasks: Managing the study protocol and coordinating inputs from the collaborators Study preparation (Obtaining ethical consent, subject recruitment, organization of study location, etc) Leading the field work at moderate altitude and performing experiments Analysis and publication of results Requirements: PhD in physiology or similar Strong publication record in human physiology Experience with experiments in humans Excellent organizational skills Experience with field studies German and/or Italian skills advantageous We offer: Two-year full-time contract (beginning in 2025) Salary will be defined according to study degree and experience Be part of an international research team Special internal courses for research related skills How to apply: Interested candidates should submit their application (CV, cover letter and further relevant documents) by 26 November 2024.
