**THE ROLE**
Your main responsibilities will be:
- accomplish tasks within the research activities related to cancer cells in presence of different magnetic nanomaterials and stimuli and evaluate the immune cells response.
One of these two open position/research is financed by ERC within the project in particular focusing on the delivery of magnetic nanoparticles to tumors via natural killer cells and on study of magnetic hyperthermia for metastatized tumor treatment.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Eligible applicants must have a PhD title on cancer and/or immunology study
- Previous experience in cancer and cancer stem cell fields and/or immunology
- strong background in cancer study both in 2D and 3D in vitro studies
- strong background as biologist, oncologist, immunologist or biotechnologist in immunology with emphasis to NK cells
- knowledge of real time polymerase chain reaction, immuno-fluorescent techniques, confocal microscopy studies, cell processing and analysis for TEM and SEM, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation methods, stem cell culture, immune cells culturing and isolation.
- Strong publication record
- Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
- Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
- Good command of spoken and written English
**ADDITIONAL SKILL**
- The in vivo animal study expertise is not required but very much welcome
- Previous experience in performing animal studies by using different murine models for immunology or cancer study is not required but highly welcome.
- Previous involvement in biological studies of nanomaterials
- Previous experience in nanotechnologies
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving attitude
- Spirit of innovation and creativity
- Good at time and priority management
- Previous work experience in an international environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
