**YOUR TEAM**
To deliver sustainability-compliant technologies, the Centre fosters innovative routes, which include the development of microbial-based processes, advanced materials and electrochemical technologies for CO2 capture, valorization and storage, industrial wastes valorization, as well as for hydrogen production, storage and use.
You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where biotechnologists, material scientists, chemists, engineers collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.
- Developing processes for the sustainable extraction of organic materials (polhydroxyalkanoate and polysaccharides) from different microbial biomasses.
- Synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of lignin-based membranes

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- A PhD in Material Science and Technology, and similar disciplines.
- Hand-on experience in extraction techniques of molecules derived from biological sources
- Hands-on experience in materials chemistry, in organic and polymeric materials, in morphological and spectroscopic characterization techniques.
- Hands-on experience in membrane synthesis and characterization
- The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data.
- Strong problem solving attitude
- Excellent spoken and written English
