We promote excellence in basic and applied research such as neuroscience and cognition, humanoid technologies and robotics, nanotechnology, materials for a truly multidisciplinary scientific experience.YOUR TEAMYou will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where computational scientists, physicists, chemists, mechanical and electrical engineers, biologists and biotechnologists collaborate, to carry out a scientific activity centered around a common research goal.The Multiscale and Quantum Simulations Research Line is coordinated by Sauro Succi, who has extensive experience in computational physics, with special emphasis on complex states of flowing matter and lately quantum computing for fluids as well.The research focuses on computational modeling of complex fluid systems, including soft flowing matter, relativistic fluids and lately also quantum computing models for fluid flows.YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop a quantum computing algorithm and corresponding quantum circuit for the simulation of fluid flows.Test the algorithm on classical computers and run them on quantum computers.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSA PhD in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, and related disciplines.Documented experience in quantum computing and computational fluid dynamics methods.Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data.Documented experience in coaching junior scientists.Good command of spoken and written English.ADDITIONAL SKILLSExperience in computational methods and scientific programming.Knowledge of C, Fortran, Python, Qiskit would be highly desirable.Strong problem-solving attitude.High motivation to learn.Spirit of innovation and creativity.Good at time and priority management.Ability to work in a challenging and international environment.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment.COMPENSATION PACKAGEYearly gross salary range between 30.000 and 35.000 Euros.Wide range of staff discounts.Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who permanently work abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?An equal, inclusive and multicultural environment ready to welcome you with open arms.
