Job RoleThe Operational and Programme Delivery Risk Analyst reports to the Lead Operational and Programme Delivery Risk Officer and works within the operational and program delivery risk team, focusing on governance and risk integration activities.
Key Functions and ResultsContribution to and Support on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):Support the RMO Secretariat function in implementing the IFAD Risk Governance structure.Contribute to the operational risk and program delivery framework.Implement the ERM framework policy and support the integration of risk domains data.Assist in automating the collection of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for the Corporate Risk Dashboard.Collaborate with relevant functions and departments on risk-related matters.Enhance collaboration and coordination with internal stakeholders to promote a risk culture.Support technical risk committees.Agent of Change:Advocate for and apply change management principles.Manage change through consultations to build understanding and ensure open communication.Managerial Functions:Maintain integrity, transparency, and fairness in performing tasks.Provide oversight and guidance to junior or internship staff if delegated by the Lead Officer.Ensure the proper use of equipment and supplies.Key Performance IndicatorsEfficient performance of assigned responsibilities.Technical quality and teamwork characteristics.Impact on the overall effectiveness and efficiency of risk management at IFAD.Working RelationshipsInternally, communicate with various departments on operational risk and program delivery risks.Externally, liaise with other multilateral development banks and relevant institutions on risk management.Job Profile RequirementsBuilding relationships and partnerships.Communicating and negotiating.Demonstrating leadership.Focusing on clients.Learning, sharing knowledge, and innovating.Managing performance and developing staff.Managing time, resources, and information.Problem-solving and decision-making.Strategic thinking and organizational development.QualificationsAdvanced university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Banking, or other relevant areas.Alternatively, a first university degree with four additional years of relevant professional experience.Experience: At least two years of relevant professional experience in risk management.Knowledge of inter-agency relations within the UN System is an asset.Languages: Excellent command of English.Desirable: Good command of Arabic, French, or Spanish.Skills: Knowledge and experience in risk management practices and analysis.Understanding of risk landscape for International Financial Institutions (IFIs).Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Technical research skills and innovative solutions identification.Ability to share technical guidance and inspire junior specialists and program staff.Other InformationIFAD staff are international civil servants subject to the authority of the President of IFAD.Positions are subject to geographic mobility.New staff members are typically placed at the first step in the grade level.Candidates may be required to take a written test and deliver a presentation.Application ProcessApplications should be submitted online via the IFAD website.Only short-listed applicants will be contacted for an interview.IFAD is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on ethnic, social, or political background, nationality, religion, age, gender, disability, marital status, family size, or sexual orientation.
