Every day, more than 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.Job Title: Plant Tools ManagerPURPOSE OF THE JOBExpert specialized in Plant Tools (PT) management for field operations activities.ORGANISATIONReports directly to: Project Manager or OPC (Project Site Coordination) Manager or Project Installation ManagerOther reporting to: Functionally to Site/Country/Cluster/Region Field Ops structureDirect reports: Leading the Plant tools teams (Technicians, mechanics, operators).MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESKey accountabilitiesManage the Plant Tools Fleet of a project, in particular for heavy or specific construction equipment, to enable the best availability of the Plant and tools in optimal conditions: performances, quality, and health and safety.Provide expertise to the Installation and Construction Managers by proposing good solutions for Plant tools considering installation/construction on-site constraints.Participate in the Construction/Installation core team meeting and report on progress and Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) KPI.Ensure that Permit of Work, storage areas, and accesses are validated with the Customer /or the Authorities.Identify critical equipment, consolidate needs, and study rental possibilities.Realize business cases and prepare Capex documents for new investments if required.Manage rental contracts and associated transportation documentation.Prepare documentation and equipment for local homologation and certification if required.Define service and maintenance processes and implement them on site.Organize the Plant tools allocation during installation/construction.Recruit and manage the team in terms of assessment, skills, training, and team spirit.Ensure compliance with Alstom HSE and local rules.Responsible for budget and implementation of Quality Plan HSE Plan.DELIVERYMonthly Cost reportService and maintenance processes and the QA/QC system.Weekly Quality report based on NCR analysis.Weekly Hourly report of the construction team.Follow-up and analysis of Plant and tools consumption.Business cases and Capex file for new Plant acquisitions.RFQ and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) Documents for new Plant.PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTSLevel of availability of the Plant, machines, and tools.Client complaints follow-up (non-conformity forms).Costs (QC, Cost of Non-Quality, etc.
).MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCESEducational RequirementsMandatoryMechanical/Electrical Engineer diploma or master's degree.Certification on Railway Safety.Certification on Site EHS management.ExperienceMandatoryMinimum 5 years as site manager in construction activities.Validated experience in railway Plant Tools Management.Knowledge of Track and Catenary construction equipment.Perfect knowledge in thermal engines, hydraulic, electromechanical and pneumatic systems.Good knowledge of HSE standards and ergonomic constraints.Leadership, initiative and decision-minded.Team spirit approach and good communication skills.Mobility.You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
