Overall responsibilities and duties
Plant Supplier Quality is responsible for the external supplier (BOP - Bought out Part) management from system and operational quality stand point delivering one or several plants he/she is responsible for Supplier Quality Performance in serial & warranty phase for a plant or several plants.
He/She supports both the supplier development or program APQP finalization for the plant, takes over from program supplier quality and manages problem solving with key stake holders and supplier quality network.
Plant external BOP supplier management from system and operational quality stand point in serial & warranty phase:
- Ensure One single global source of truth for supplier Quality performance & status (operational performance & global status) for given local suppliers for allocated scope of work (Plant(s))
- Manage / contributes to escalation for non-performing suppliers, reports and share with other divisions on Key top offenders local action plans implementation through the global sharing platform
- Is responsible for compliance of the process & tools use within the plant for what is related to problem solving, supplier management, deviation management, Parts re validation and change requests management.
- Owns risk & opportunity external BOP supplier assessments, Audit plan management at suppliers & related results.
- Drive and contributes to the key strategic Supplier Quality FCM development axis as leader for FCM or as key contributor depending on the location and performance. That includes potential 8QB deployment, systemic defect analysis and Assessment findings improvement plan
- Contributes to risk assessment and consolidate evidences from suppliers when necessary
- Collaborates with plant quality, purchasing and operation teams for routines (Top 5, Morning markets, top offenders escalation ) and leads investigation for Supplier Quality issues during the morning markets reviews.
- Provides critical insights to ASQ network in the distant divisions about the supplier performance, capability, capacity & performance. That includes potentially Go/No Go and/or risk highlights in steering committees, TVR and program gate reviews when appropriate.
- Ensure quality alerts and key issues are raised and managed on time in full with the Faurecia methodology and in the official Faurecia tools when supplier responsibility. That includes Quality QP management up to 8D closure, lessons learned feedbacks, deviation management & cost recovery.
- Coordinates problem solving locally at the suppliers and supports Logistic QP raised problem solving with PC&L teams and Purchasing
Program launch contribution:
- Contributes to the final steps of APQP as "receiving" party in plant and makes sure approvals of PPAP are appropriately approved from plant stand point.
- Take over from ASQ once programs APQP is finalized in ePPAP with appropriate evidences
- Drives & coordinate the supplier quality part of the productivity improvement plans including VAVE, ECR, PCR, transfers, Customer and/or regulatory requirements for requalification and surveillance audits at suppliers in coordination with other divisions.
Strategic external BOP supplier development as Quality Single Point of contact:
- Owns supplier performance for his/her suppliers as per Supplier quality dashboard defined global KPI.
- Contributes to the commodity strategy design and deployment through the Quality aspects with the Supplier quality network and Supplier account managers of givens suppliers
- Use benchmark cross division/plants to define key success factors for potential new sourcing (operational levers for performance) for dedicated local suppliers
- Ensure supplier assessment & audit plan is designed and run according to risk identified and specific customer requirements and/or specific regulation constraints for dedicated local suppliers managed according to standard and scoring is acceptable. Alert network and SAM if critical deviation identified.
- Communicates on any risks or deviation from standard requirements at given dedicated suppliers including findings from Supplier assessment, SPQA and or capacity assessments.
- Communicates on any opportunity coming from supplier management process at given dedicated BOP suppliers
- Support SQA and ASQ teams in providing the appropriate assessment of suppliers for given suppliers prior potential new sourcing process (RFQ). When necessary, drives recovery plans to get back to targets through formal development workshops and action plan validation and tracking at given suppliers.
- Ensures commodity synergies related to dedicated local suppliers, best practices and lessons learned shared and deployed, and escalation process are efficient across FCM SQ network.
