Position Summary
Plant Sourcing Lead will define, manage and maintain and appropriate set of vendors with appropriate contracts / price frameworks with guidance from both Regional Sourcing Manager and the Global Commodity Managers and lead on all supplier price changes and manage Supplier Price Amendment Request (SPAR) process / the associated governance and approvals.
The Opportunity
Follow the Rotork GSS Sourcing processes to ensure the effective delivery of both Major and Minor Sourcing Projects.
Lead price and contract negotiations with plant specific suppliers with support from the Regional Sourcing Manager
Lead supplier Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) as required
Work closely with the local plant Global Supply Chain Team to understand key operations performance metrics for the plant and ensure balanced sourcing decisions are taken considering all cost elements.
Lead site focused New Product Development sourcing activities by providing sourcing support through the Rotork Development & Launch Process (RDLP).
Purchase Order raising and Management for new parts and parts with no valid Trade Agreements
Support site level invoice management relating to cost/price queries.
Understand key supplier performance metrics and work with the Supplier Development and Quality Engineers (SDQE) where development actions are required to drive performance improvement in the longer term
Ensure effective risk monitoring of suppliers using relationships and tools in order to flag high risks.
Working with the Supplier Development & Quality team and Global Commodity Managers to implement Value Add Value Engineering (VAVE), Design for Manufacture (DfM), Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Should Costing opportunity evaluation for your site.
Provide input into / develop Key Supplier Long Term Agreements
5+ years Procurement related experience including supplier contract development
Strong sourcing background with evidence of strategy development
Advanced knowledge of full Microsoft Suite (especially Excel).
Familiar with MRP systems ie D365, SAP, Oracle
Delivery & output focused
Commercial acumen
Strong communication and presentation skills
Negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Fluent in English
