Colorni 1/3/5, Forli 47122 ITA Employment Type: Salaried | Full-Time Function: Quality Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Main Duties & Responsibilities Quality Lead Hierarchy (hard line) Reporting to Plant Manager Functionally (dotted line) reporting to Quality Assurance Manager Workplace: Forlì, Italy – Plastic srl Responsibilities and Duties: The role will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the company product meets customer quality requirements and Trimas quality objectives, maintaining the company quality systems in line with ISO9001 and BRC standards.
The role will also be responsible for the identification and development of continuous improvement projects.
Mainly Tasks: Lead the quality team of the Forli plant.
Promote EHS culture as an ambassador over the plant.
Manage quality improvements in the plant (scrap reduction, preventive quality, drive continuous improvement).
Ensure daily contact with customers/suppliers regarding potential quality claims.
Ensure new project/product launches into production and related activities.
Manage, control, analyze, improve, and report daily, weekly, and monthly status of quality (KPI's).
Maintain Quality Management System standards.
Create and update work instructions, quality alerts, and Quality Control Plan.
Aid in overcoming production, assembly, and process problems.
Periodic reporting of quality services, including recommendations for further actions.
Set up audits on the production line regularly and track action plans.
Provide advice on the acceptance or rejection of incoming materials and components, implementing and following corrective actions with the supplier.
Work closely with the Plant Management team to identify and solve quality issues, both short and long-term.
Maintain ISO certified standards and work to obtain new certifications targeted by the company.
Qualifications: University education in a technical field (bachelor's degree or master's degree) 3-5 years work experience in the role as Quality Supervisor or Customer Quality English - Advanced or fluent Ability to lead people.
Ability to manage daily tasks of incoming/outgoing quality and requirements towards customers/suppliers.
Open-minded person to find process improvements.
Knowledge of quality and safety standards.
SPC Knowledge.
Preferred Lean Six Sigma methodology knowledge.
Other Technical Skills: 8D, problem-solving, and quality tools.
Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook.
Soft skills: accuracy, flexibility, reliability, team player, natural leadership, analytical skills.
