Job Summary We are looking for a Planning & Logistics Manager in our Packaging Material factory in Rubiera, Italy.
In this position you will be responsible for factory operational planning (warehousing, shipping and internal logistic) and operational logistics.
What you will do As our new Planning & Logistics manager you will report to the Factory Director and be a member of the Factory Management Team.
Your key responsibilities include leading the factory logistics and planning team, develop their capabilities and manage back-ups and succession.
You will be the key contact point with Customer Service to secure timely delivery to our customers, this in coordination with the different departments of the factory.
You will ensure planning and logistics processes and results in the factory, driving the expansion of our continuous improvement program World Class Manufacturing (WCM) to attack logistic and planning losses.
Main responsibilities: Operational Logistics: Secure and promote safety in Logistics Ensure quality and efficiency in the loading & unloading operations Lead the Warehouse Cell to optimize the Process accordingly to WCM methodology Lead the daily logistics operations and Logistics KPIs on safety, quality, compliance, service and cost Administer and manage documentation for all goods in/out of factory incl.
export and import management for BM/PM/AM Support carrier management together with global Supplier Management and Regional Supply Chain Control Tower Member of Cost Pillar and WCM Steering Committee Operational planning: Ensure timely and precise input for cluster capacity planning process Take the lead of factory planning activities aligned with regional capacity plan, considering factory capability, best block sequence, factory project schedule, constraints etc.
Manage the exceptional cases (material shortage, order changes, order delay due to production disturbance and etc) Support actions/decision from Strategic &Operational Planning Regional process (reallocation of production, inventory etc.)
Lead factory activities for Packaging Materials Business Continuity Plan Drive logistics optimization and Lean flow in the factory We believe you have A university degree in Engineering Approx.
10 years of experience in logistics and shipping Solid knowledge in logistics process and tools Experience from managerial positions Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory We believe that you are a person with proactive attitude and able to thrive well under pressure and make priorities.
You have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop effective relationships and gain credibility on all levels in an international organization.
You are open minded, able to listen to your stakeholders, and show a high level of customer orientation and drive for productivity.
You have an innovative approach to digital tools and good knowledge of continuous improvement methods and their application.
