The role has responsibility for the Supply Chain function in Italy, supporting the Sales Commercial and Marketing teams nationally.
Four key objectives for this role include:
- Proactively manage our in-stock position across entire portfolio
- Master Data and Customer service management
- Partner with customers and distributor to ensure we are aligned on inventory fulfillment
- Lead and develop your team
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the Demand and Supply Planning positions and processes to ensure product availability
- Leverage the depletion forecast to drive shipment forecast
- Align with Regional Directors East / West to ensure correct inventory levels to supply depletion forecast
- Work with customers across Italy to align on this forecast
- Ship as scheduled
- Proactively address gaps in a solution based manner
- Review and establish policies, procedures, performance metrics, and resource requirements to ensure reliability and proper working capital investments in inventory
- Assess financial and business risks associated with key operational decisions
- Ensure that logistic service/warehouse providers adhere to agreed standards and KPIs; conduct performance reviews and mitigate risks
- Identify and execute the balance between customer requirements, inventory optimisation, manufacturing efficiencies, including capacity planning, SKU rationalization, planning and execution
- Develop high level of coordination with the Commercial Team to achieve effective management of the product supply flow
- Implement and influence best practices in the disciplines of forecasting, inventory management, and logistics
- Oversee continuous improvement of the product supply: improved customer service; faster cycles; reduction of waste and reduce delivering costs.
- Accountable for implementation, maintenance and review of SLA with markets and plants to clearly set role, responsibility and performance management
- Establish and maintain effective cooperation with key stakeholders
- Share best practice and cooperate closely with Supply Chain teams across NAM
- Develop team by ensuring core functional competencies are met, conducting regular Let's Talk sessions and performance reviews, coaching to ensure successor is identified
- Respects the regulations associated with the Supply Chain activities (customs duty, excise, importations, exportations, certifications, quality, etc.
)
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG/Food/Beverage industry with familiarity across all functions in Supply Chain including manufacturing, product line, logistics and warehousing, and experience in managing co-packers
- Comfort level managing inventory from many different ship points around the world
- Proven successful management of direct reports through building high performance teams
- High learning agility, adaptability and track record of exceptional results
- Results oriented change agent with analytical skills and financial acumen
- Experience working within a matrix structured environment including managing multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of Supply Chain regulations and compliance in Italy is a must
- Knowledge of the spirits industry is a bonus
