Planning Engineer
Locations: Milan – Lombardia
As a Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of construction projects by meticulously evaluating contract documents, scrutinizing proposed site organization and planners' CVs, and reviewing and providing insights on design, construction, and procurement schedules. Your responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on the contractor's major construction progress, overseeing recovery schedules, and conducting regular on-site visits to verify the alignment of work progress with approved schedules.

Qualifications A university degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, in MS Project
Previous experience in PMC will be considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills.
Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of the English language
Professional accreditation as Project Manager will be considered a plus (PMP – UNI 11648:2016 – SCH61 CEPAS etc..)
Driver license required
The candidate should be based in or be eligible to work in Italy.
Responsibilities Evaluate contract documents for each construction package and communicate any deficiencies to the Projects Controls Manager.
Examine and either approve or comment on the design schedules submitted by consultants, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
Scrutinize and either approve or provide comments on construction schedules submitted by contractors, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
Review and either approve or comment on procurement schedules submitted by contractors, ensuring coordination with current construction schedules.
Monitor the contractor's major construction progress against approved schedules, ensuring adequate equipment and manpower, and reporting shortages to the Projects Controls Manager.
Review recovery schedules submitted by contractors in detail, ensuring proper increases in manpower and site supervision staff.
Conduct regular on-site visits to validate the compliance of work progress with approved schedules, confirming the achievement of major milestones, and reporting any deficiencies to the Projects Controls Manager.
Scrutinize daily, weekly, and monthly reports submitted by the contractor, reporting any deficiencies or non-compliance to the Projects Controls Manager.
